To obtain a high-quality image our thermographer will enter the correct emittance of an object into the imager. Other variables will also be considered: ambient air temperature, humidity, and distance to the target.

The identification is the “tracker” of the issue.  It helps easily access any information in the database.  It helps view the status of the repair and any follow-up results.

Good description is very useful to maintenance/repair crew and to the customer.  It can serve as a point of reference in the future follow ups.
